Abstract

In this work we present some quantitative results of the gender situation at the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico. The results come from a survey on gender perception carried out in 2017 at the University. Our objective was to know some of the gender perceptions in students, administrative staff and academic staff of the institution. Based on these data, a series of measures and guidelines can be designed with the objective of counteracting against the gender gap. In the main results we found the persistence of gender stereotypes that prevent the proper development of women in university life, also a high average of women students who have been sexual harassed by a member of the university community.
