Abstract

The present article exposes the results of a master's project in Education carried out in the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. The purpose of this investigation is
design a didactic proposal to favor the development of musical creativity in students (5-6 years). The methodological approach is qualitative, where the interview is used, participative and non-participatory observation, as methods of information collection. The population sample is 18 students, who study the transition degree in a kindergarten, and of 5 teachers in the Music area. The results show weaknesses in the tools used for teachers when teaching classes, an element that does not allow creativity to be stimulated. This is limited to students. This aspect can be seen in the few tools that are related to creativity, and the lack of motivation in the face of this type of activity. For the design of the proposal, first, a diagnosis is made, the product of the analysis of the information collected, which is a key element of the strategy. The final product consists of 16 didactic sequences, with elements of constructivism that allows different aspects related to creativity. The sequences are divided into three thematic axes: musical elements, musical improvisation and musical composition. The project, evidence that the lack of adequate educational tools, can inhibit creativity, even in areas that are commonly related to this construct, such as the arts. This research opens the way for future projects that can be directed to the development of teaching strategies in the different areas of knowledge, which aim to strengthen and stimulate this capacity of the human being.
