Arcane in the subconscious

Abstract

When we fall in the narrative of Lezama Lima, our first reaction is to back down, to run from the daze of an unpaved script on the linear and progressive, of unexpected turns that branch off into metaphorical images. We then advance blindly through the secret passages of the Cuban author, to the dark and hermetic rooms of his muse; guided only through the interstices of an intuitive skin. Suddenly, we are surprised by a cold boreal light of explosive and warm colors; then we realize it has been worth venturing into those gibberish registers of multiple interpolations, reserved only for those initiated in the Orphism, the Pythagorean secrets and the Eleusinian mysteries present throughout the Lezamian work.
