Poetics of uprooting in Colombia: a semiotic and anthropological work at the construction of urban viewpoints in poetry, in the context of Colombia’s violence at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st

Abstract

This article summarizes the most significant conclusions of a doctoral thesis on the poetics of uprooting in Colombia, its main objective is to analyze the urban viewpoints in selected texts by four Colombian poets that, through hermeneutic processes, can be reconstructed in the context of Colombia´s violence between the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. Their poems are creations wherein the city and the territory are protagonists within one of the following analytical categories: 1. Breaking off and expulsion from the nearby environment (displacement), 2. Places of violence, 3. Evocations of memories of the city that was lost, i.e. what we could subsume under the name of poetics of uprooting: a poetic that crosses the aesthetic and political dimensions.
