Mary Luz Jaimes Valencia, PhD., MSc., RN.

Nurse of the Universidad Industrial de Santander. Master in Nurse with an emphasis in family health at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. PhD in practical and education nursing at the Universidad de Alicante España (with the support of Alban scholarships of the European Union). Director of the CARING Research Group of the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga. In-between jobs include nurse care of pregnancy, adult and elderly, and home care. Editor of the MedUNAB Journal. Has been published in national and international journals, and has been directing thesis of undergraduate, master's, and doctorate which has made her be classified as an associate researcher by the Minciencias. Teacher of the Nurse Program of the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga.

Conflict of interest: She declares having no conflicts of interest in her job as editor of the MedUNAB Journal. She hasn’t received payment or services from a third person (private entity or commercial foundation, etc.)The conduct code of the editor receives the concepts, codes, and procedures used internationally from the next organizations:

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE): It is a referent in the ethics aspect of editing at the level of author, editor, members of the committee, and reviewers.

Council of Science Editors (CSE): It is an organization dedicated to the integrity of scientific publications, conflicts of interest, licenses, and authorships.

International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE): It is principally dedicated to the anonymous informed consent and protection of the people who are a part of the investigations published in the Journal.
