Abstract

The policies of national and regional government facilitate access to ICT in the country, especially in education and increasing computer equipment, tablets and Internet in Colombian households, generating that the age at which children start in using the Internet and social networks is declining. Children and teachers are instructed in the use of these technologies, but there is a knowledge gap in the proper use of the information on these platforms. The project Insecurity in social networks and the Internet was created with the purpose of creating a space for training through awareness and use of ICT as a social component to the fortaleciento digital awareness in infants in educational institutions. This project is aimed at grades 4th and 5th of educational institutions in the province of Ocaña, Colombia. The results obtained through a diagnostic tool shows the ignorance of best practices in the proper management of these platforms, this
because of the ignorance of people including children in the world of technology. It is not enough to provide schools and households with ICT resources, if users are not trained in baths of correct and safe use of the information used in these spaces. What happens in the virtual world can affect the real world.
