Bogotá experience of digital participation: between e-governance and the construction of citizenship
Abstract
The e-governance in Colombia virtualized various government services and procedures, facilitating to citizen access and simplifying administrative processes; however, there are challenges and obstacles to its implementation, such as the reduction of the digital divide, the adoption of new technologies, information security and digital literacy. This article collects in a particular way the Bogota experience of participation in the digital government. Data collection was done through a survey applied to 607 Bogota women and men between the ages of 12 and 65. For the process of reading the information, descriptive analysis techniques offered by SPSS and SPAD data mining were used. The results contribute to the knowledge of the citizen experience of digital participation and provide important information to strengthen it from the uses of visual languages, the construction of intuitive pages and promotion on social networks.
