Cultural dynamics on modernity: a debate about identities and politics
Abstract
This article aims to discuss the relations between culture and Modenity, from the epistemology of the social sciences and their impact on current dilemas of political philosophy. Thus, it seek to understand if the notion of emancipation can be redeemed in the analysis of cultural dynamics, as the passage from modernity to postmodernity unfold in terms of new subjects and fluid borders, undoing the notions of social structure, territory and State. In this regard, it reinforces the need for composition of a new recognition paradigm that goes beyond the critical prerrogatives already estabilished in the social sciences, in other words, considering the cultural differences as foothold. It is understood that this option tends to ensure both the identity of the subaltern subject, as the possibility of building its political representation
