National Security Strategies in response to transnational risk and threats
Abstract
The end of Cold War, and the ‘disorder’ of international political system that it entailed promoved the emergence of international non-state actors – called transnational- that modified current typology of threats and risks. This brought a rethinking of states security. This new scenario and challenges make it necessary to act in an integral and multilateral manner. At the same time, it demands a more preventive and proactive action, for which the National Security Strategies are key tools.
