Kant, Kelsen and Rawls liberalism in the perspective of international peace configuration
Abstract
Liberalism arises in the furrows of modern history and can be traced to the experience of the late-medieval commercial cities. It redesigns the modern terms of "republic"; and "right"; with their ideal of freedom (personal and collective), and exhibits a strong internationalist vocation. The paper explores the profiles of three great liberal thinkers in the field of international law and cooperation institutions, such as Immanuel Kant, Hans Kelsen and John Rawls. It uses a qualitative methodology and technique of documentary analysis technique. It is concluded that liberalism, as an idealist doctrine, recognizes that people not only compete with each other, but are also able to collaborate to achieve common goals, as an alternative that is not only more
economic, but above all, more civilized.
