La prevención del maltrato a los niños en el ámbito familiar

Abstract

This review focuses on the presentation of the book Preventing child maltreatment within the family, which is the result of the joint work of legal and psychology professionals, in order to promote an interdisciplinary analysis of child maltreatment from a preventive approach within the family, a scourge that violates children’s fundamental human rights and that demands from a social State based on the rule of law, such as Colombia, the implementation of public policies to prevent and eradicate it. In addition, the authors propose a secondary prevention program as an academic contribution to the realization of children’s rights.
