The imaginary and final days of Rogelia Gómez: a former combatant of teh Cuban Revolution from the short film Pucha Vida
Abstract
This article is entitled "The imaginaries and last days of Rogelia Gómez: a former combatant of the Cuban revolution from the short Pucha vida", and is part of a macro-research project called Multimodal Practices in Latin America. In this particular case, the short film Pucha vida is used to analyze, from a semiotic model, the cultural and life practices of Rogelia Gómez.This article uses the paradigm of qualitative-interpretative research and is developed with a case study methodology. In the process of data analysis, the semiotics of Jacques Fontanille's cultural practices are used, which in turn absorb the semiotic model of Greimas. As a result, the work allows us to see the life imaginary of Pucha, who is the protagonist; as well as part of Cuban culture after the revolution and current thinking about it.
