La investigación cualitativa como enfoque metodológico fundamental en la investigación en ciencias de la salud
Resumen
La investigación cualitativa (IC) ocupa un lugar prominente en la investigación en ciencias de la salud. Es y seguirá siendo una herramienta metodológica indispensable para analizar los fenómenos de la enfermería contemporánea, debido a que permite una comprensión profunda de aquellas dimensiones que impactan en el cuidado de la salud (1). En enfermería, el abordar el cuidado desde esta perspectiva ayuda a explorar las experiencias humanas y los fenómenos sociales relacionados con el proceso de salud-enfermedad y hace que los investigadores comprendan en profundidad las perspectivas de los pacientes, familias y profesionales de la salud, proporcionando una visión holística de lo que es el cuidado (2).
