The dynamic brain: networks connecting art and science

Keywords: Art, Humans, Science, Education, Neurosciences

Abstract

Art has the exceptional ability to capture complex concepts that unite science with human experience. The image on this cover is a work recovered from Freepik by Tueyzaahahaba, representing the Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience Lab, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, the symbolic representation of a human face, surrounded by intense colors and abstract strokes that capture the complex network of neural connections that constitute our ability to learn, adapt and create. The interlocking patterns evoke synapses in constant flux, symbolizing the neuroplasticity of the brain that supports the processes of learning and memory. The colors of this image and its elements represent the intersection between science, art, and education, highlighting interdisciplinarity as a fundamental part of these fields of learning.
